Juke Joint ChapelDirect-to-Client
Location: Clarksdale, MS The Juke Joint Chapel, located in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, is a destination for delta blues music, including the annual Juke Joint Festival. The performance and recording venue was converted from an old cotton gin as a long-running work in progress. The venue was reviewed by an engineer from the Fillmore West, who stated is was “an excellent and comfortable space”.
The renovations used predominantly salvaged materials, which led to unique and creative acoustical solutions. Our work included recommendations for acoustics, noise control, and the sound system, including wiring, lighting, and layout. |
