Poindexter Hall

Architect: Pryor-Morrow Architects
Location: Mississippi University for Women
              Columbus, MS

Poindexter Hall, originally built in 1902 at the Mississippi University for Women, was reopened in late 2012 after extensive renovation. The 27,000 square foot hall serves as the music building for the school and features a large lecture and recital hall, as well as rehearsal and recording facilities. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Our work included acoustic and AV investigation, testing, and recommendations for the historical music building including isolation for rehearsal and recording facilities, renovation of recital hall, HVAC noise control, and design of student-quality recording facilities and all AV presentation equipment for the main auditorium.
